Program Costs

Financial Aid:

No child should miss out on Cub Scouting due to a lack of funds. Parents may request scholarships for Pack fees, uniform expenses etc. by contacting the Pack Committee Chairman or Cubmaster. All inquiries and awards are kept confidential.

2025-26 Total Registration and Dues:

Scouting America Membership: $154.50

**This registration fee goes directly to Scouting America and Mecklenburg County Council. Each scout’s membership is good for one calendar year. You will receive an email to renew your membership 30 days prior to your expiration date.  AOL scouts due for renewal in the spring should not renew online.

Scout Life Magazine Subscription Add-on: $15.00 (Yearly Subscription, added during your renewal)

Pack 214 Dues: $50.00

**This is the only money our pack collects, outside of fundraising, to run our Cub Scout program.  This fee offsets the cost of den meeting supplies and scout awards.

Your First Year dues also include a Pack T-shirt.

Activity Fees:

All families are encouraged to participate in our optional overnight camping and other supplemental activities.  These fees are directly tied to the added cost of participating in the event.

Cub O’Ree (Family Camping Weekend): $ 10-15 per person
October 17-19, 2025 / Sign-up deadline: Oct 7th

Super Trip (Family Overnight): Ripley’s Aquarium Myrtle Beach: $100-115 per person
March 14, 2025 / Sign up deadline: TBD

Fundraising:

Fundraising allows the pack to limit the out of pocket costs to families by offsetting program and training costs, and allows scouts to earn credit towards their individual fees.

POPCORN: ALL Dens are expected to sell popcorn EXCEPT Lions. Although, Lions can certainly participate if they choose! The first $375 of a scout’s popcorn sales, goes to support the pack. Visit our Popcorn Page to learn more about Popcorn requirements.

CAMP CARDS: This is an optional fundraiser each spring where Mecklenburg County Council offers discount cards for sale. Camp Cards are designed to help scouts earn their way to camp. Cards are sold for $10, and scouts get $4 credit for each card to pay for future registration, dues, or activity fees.
