Uniforms and Scout Closet
Cub Scout uniforms serve a dual purpose, demonstrating that a Scout is part of a team and showing individual achievement (Scouts wear the badges they’ve earned). Wearing the uniform to meetings and activities also encourages a neat appearance and good behavior. Pack 214 asks all scouts to wear the official Scouting America Cub Scout uniform from the waist up.
New to Pack 214? No need to buy anything before your first meeting — see our Scout Closet below for free gently-used uniform pieces, and reach out about financial aid if cost is a concern. We’re happy to help.
Class A Uniform:
- Cub Scout Rank Hat
- Cub Scout Rank Neckerchief and Slide
- Cub Scout uniform with patches
- Lions (Kindergarten) wear the Lion Rank T-shirt or Pack 214 Class B T-shirt
- Tigers-Webelos (1st-4th Grade) wear the Blue Cub Scout Uniform Shirt
- AOLs wear the Tan Scout Uniform Shirt
- Scouts may wear the official uniform pants/shorts or other appropriate shorts, pants, or jeans
- Closed-toed shoes (no crocs, flip flops, or slides)
Class B Uniform: a Pack 214 T-shirt with appropriate bottoms and closed-toe shoes. All scouts receive a free t-shirt after registering for their first year. Additional t-shirts may be purchased for a small fee.

Scout Closet
Before you head off to the Scout Shop, feel free to check out our uniform closet with a limited amount of gently used scout uniform items available. These items are donated by families as scouts grow, advance in rank, or cross over to a Troop.
