Welcome, New Cub Scout Families!
Scouting is a whole new world for many children and their families. We hope to make your adventure a positive one.
Still deciding if Scouting is right for your family? There’s no need to fill out anything yet — come to a den meeting (Tuesdays, 6:30 PM) or check our calendar for the next pack event and see what it’s like in person. If you’re completely new to Scouting, read How Cub Scouting Works first — it explains ranks, dens, and how a typical year unfolds.
When you’re ready to join, we’ll need a bit of paperwork from you:
- Register online and submit your application digitally, and pay your registration fee.
- Or download an application here to turn in to the committee chair along with your registration fee.
- Pay your pack dues.
- These can be paid to the pack treasurer at your next meeting via Cash, Check (made out to Meck Co Council – Pack 214), or Zelle. See Program Costs for current amounts.
- Complete the Parent Information and Volunteer Form
- Annual Scouting America Medical Form (Part A & B only for Cub Scouts)
- No doctor signature required!
- Please make sure to include month and year for all vaccinations.
- Safeguarding Youth Training is required for any adult participating in Scouting, including attending overnight campouts.
- Turn in your completed information packet to the committee chair ([email protected]) and receive your pack t-shirt.
- Get your uniform ready! Check out our Uniforms and Scout Closet page for the full uniform guide, our free gently-used Scout Closet, and Scout Shop details.
Have additional questions? Email us anytime at [email protected] — we’d rather answer a quick question now than have you guess.
