Welcome, New Cub Scout Families!

Welcome to Pack 214! Scouting is a whole new world for many children and their families, and we hope to make your adventure a positive one. This page is for families who have just joined. Haven’t registered yet? Start with Join Pack 214.

Your first few weeks

1. Watch for your welcome email. Within a week of registering, the Pack will email you with your Scout’s den (a small group of Scouts in the same grade), your den leader, and where to go for your first meeting.
2. Bring your paperwork to the Pack table at your first meeting: medical forms, a copy of your insurance card, and your dues if you didn’t pay by Zelle. Pick up your Pack T-shirt there too. There is a Pack table at every den meeting and pack meeting. Details are on Join Pack 214.
3. Lion and Tiger parents: you’re your Scout’s adult partner and come to every meeting with them. Read what adult partners do.
4. Get the family newsletter. Sign up for Cubby Notes, our almost-weekly email about what’s coming up.
5. Add the Pack calendar to your phone so you always have the latest dates.
6. Uniforms can wait. When you’re ready, see Uniforms and Scout Closet for the uniform guide, our free gently used Scout Closet, and Scout Shop details.
7. Safeguarding Youth Training is required for any adult participating in Scouting, including attending overnight campouts.

Your first year

Most Tuesdays your Scout meets with their den, and about once a month the whole Pack meets together for a pack meeting. Along the way there are bigger events, and each one has its own page:
