Here’s what Cub Scouting costs with Pack 214 for the 2026-27 year. Only two costs are required. Everything else is optional or up to your family.

Pack 214 dues$75Covers den meeting supplies and Scout awards. Your first year includes a Pack t-shirt.
Scout Life magazine$15 (optional)Added when you register or renew.
Volunteer opt-out$150 (optional)Only if your family can’t volunteer at least 2 hours during the year. See the Parent/Guardian Form.

Arrow of Light Scouts due to renew in the spring shouldn’t renew online. Their new troop registers them.

Events (2026-27)

Events are optional, and each fee covers only that event’s added cost.

How to pay

Pack dues and event fees can be paid any of these ways:

Zelle

Send to [email protected]. Your bank will show “Mecklenburg County Council – Boy Scouts.” That’s the Pack’s account.

Check

Make it out to Meck Co Council – Pack 214.

Cash

Bring it to the Pack table at any den or pack meeting.

Financial aid

No child should miss out on Cub Scouting because of cost. Families can ask for help with Pack fees, uniforms, and more by emailing [email protected]. Every request is kept confidential.

Fundraising that lowers your costs

Popcorn

Each fall, every Scout works 2 storefront shifts, or the family pays an opt-out. Selling beyond that earns credit toward Pack costs. See Popcorn Sales.

Camp Cards

A spring fundraiser run by the Mecklenburg County Council. Cards sell for $10, and Scouts earn a $4 credit for each one toward registration, dues, or events.
