Prefer paper? Email [email protected] and we’ll send you an application. - Pay Pack dues: $75 for the 2026-27 year. Pay any one of these ways:
- Zelle to [email protected]. Your bank will show the name “Mecklenburg County Council – Boy Scouts.” That’s the Pack’s account, so you’re in the right place.
- Check made out to Meck Co Council – Pack 214.
- Cash.
- Fill out the Parent/Guardian Information and Volunteer Form.
- Medical forms, due at your Scout’s first meeting. Every Scout needs a Scouting America Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A and B) and a copy of their health insurance card. No doctor’s signature is needed; please include the month and year of every vaccination. Get the medical forms and instructions.
- Turn it in. Bring your medical forms, insurance card copies, and dues (if you didn’t use Zelle) to the Pack table at your first meeting. There is a Pack table at every den meeting and pack meeting.
Who else needs a medical form, and how the Pack keeps them
Scouting America asks every participant in every activity to have one, so adults need one too: registered leaders, the adult partner of a Lion or Tiger (kindergarten or 1st grade), since Lions and Tigers take part with a parent at every meeting, and anyone in your family who comes along to an outing or campout, like Cub O’Ree.
The Pack keeps medical forms on hand at Pack events, never stores them digitally, and will return them to your family.
What happens next
Within a week of registering, the Pack will email you with your Scout’s den, your den leader, and where to go for your first meeting. Haven’t heard from us? Email [email protected].
Lion and Tiger families: you’re part of the den
Lions (kindergarten) and Tigers (1st grade) do Scouting together with a parent or guardian, called their adult partner. As an adult partner, you:
- Come to every meeting and event with your Scout.
- Work with your Scout on their adventures and hands-on activities.
- Help the den leader with the group when needed.
- Help your Scout follow our Behavior Policy (PDF). The Pack has zero tolerance for physical aggression.
- Show the Scout Oath and Law with kind words and encouragement.
Our Scouting Kickoff
The Scouting Kickoff is Pack 214’s open house at the start of each Scouting year, in late summer. New and returning families meet the Pack, connect with other Scouts, learn about the program, and can register on the spot. Our 2026 Kickoff was on Saturday, August 22. Next year’s date will be on the Pack calendar.
