Cuboree Recap

We had a great weekend at Belk Scout Camp! Weather was perfect and the youth had a great time. Special thank you to all of the parents that volunteered to help with set up, cooking and meal serving, and clean up. Your efforts make our Pack a great experience for the scouts and families. At close to 90 total participants, our Pack was the largest representation of scouts and families within our council. We couldn’t pull off this weekend without everyone’s help!

AOL’s – thank you for preparing and serving the entire camp’s dinner on Saturday night. Way to demonstrate servant leadership.

Heath did a tremendous job (as always) as the MC of the closing campfire where we celebrated the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War. Chris Danner kept the scouts warm with blazing fires all weekend long.

As mentioned above, there are countless others that contributed to help make this weekend a success. Every one of those efforts was noticed and is appreciated!

We had several groups of scouts and siblings that bravely stepped into stage in front of hundreds of people to put on skits – great work!

We’ll hand out Cub O Ree patches during this week’s meeting.

There will be a couple of items from lost and found at this week’s meeting.

If you have any suggestions to help improve our family camping experience, please seek out Heath or myself at this week’s meeting.

Lions: will be finishing Let’s Camp and starting King of the Jungle, learning about citizenship and our families.

Tigers: will be recapping the Let's Camp adventure and working on the Scout Law. Please bring your activity books.

Wolves: will be reviewing the buddy system and playground safety. We will be outside at the church playground so please wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

Bears: will continue the Paws for Action adventure

Webelos: Meet at Col Francis Beatty Park Clubhouse for meteor watching!

AOLs: will practice building a fire and should plan on being outdoors.
