The Cub Scout Motto: Do Your Best!

CUBBY NOTES

March 21, 2023

CUBMASTER NOTES

Parents of Bears: Please stay for the meeting tonight to go over next year's Webelos program.

CAMP CARDS SHOW & SELL

There will be a camp card Show & Sell on March 25th at Matthews Mainline Market.

Please click on the Sign Up Genius Link HERE and you can sign up for slots so that you and your scout can sell cards. All proceeds from the sale of camp cards will be split with all of the volunteers.
We made a deal with the organizers of the market that we would get a space to sell cards for free if we help vendors during set up and breakdown times so we will also need parent volunteers (Adults only) to help out in the morning and in the evening.

Camp Cards are a great way for your scout to earn money to pay for trips, camps, and Recharter fees.  Pick up as many cards as you think you can sell. Each card is $10. Bring the proceeds to the Pack and your scout's Scoutbook account will get $5 for each card sold. The council gets the other $5.

This is a no risk fundraiser; just return any cards that you do not sell. You can also sign up to sell online. There is a feature where people can purchase cards to donate to first responders. You must create an account to sell online: scoutingtracker.com.

Talk to your Committee Chair if you have questions and to pick up some cards.

Den Leader Notes

Lions
Lions do not meet.

Tigers
The Tigers will be working on completing any outstanding requirements this week in addition to discussing the Protect Yourself Rules requirement.

Wolves
Wolves will be practicing our inner numismatist, doing adventures in coins. Bring your most interesting coins and we will learn how to evaluate features and conditions of coins. We will also spend time valuing coins and making coin rubbings.

Bears
Da Bears will venture into Bites, Burns, Blood, and Broken Bones. Let's rip the bandage off this and discover how to save a life.  Bring your walking sticks and get ready to do some heaving lifting.

Web 1s
There is a Webelo 1s parent meeting tonight to go over plans next year and solicit feedback.  Please plan on having at least one caring adult present.

The Web1s will be outside playing games during the meeting.

We will be covering:
1. AOL advancement requirements and parent support/involvement needs.
2. Additional activities/opportunities for the scouts to develop knowledge and skills (and have fun) to get parent feedback.
3. Den Leader expectations of the scouts as they prepare to crossover to the Troop in March 2024.
