RECHARTER INFORMATION

RECHARTER – Do it! You have 1 week. If you do not complete this by March 31st, prices go up. You have a short grace period before your membership expires. Please do not wait until the last minute.

YOU ARE responsible for renewing your scout's membership using the links provided in the BSA email you received. Here's what you need to know:

  1. Membership Expiry: If you've already received an email from BSA, your membership will expire on March 31st, with a short grace period thereafter to renew.

  2. Renewal Deadline: It's crucial to complete your membership renewal by the expiration date. There is a small grace period following the renewal deadline to complete the process.

  3. Early Renewal Benefits: Prices will increase on April 1st, so it's wise to renew early and save a few dollars.

  4. Consequences of Non-payment: Failure to pay for your child's membership will result in its cancellation. In such cases, you'll need to complete a new application along with corresponding fees to continue participating.

  5. Scout Life Subscription Option: You'll have the choice to "opt-in" for a subscription to Scout Life for $15.

  6. Financial Hardship Assistance: If you encounter difficulties paying for your renewal, please reach out to the committee chairs to discuss arrangements for your child to continue scouting. Finances should never hinder a child from participating in Scouts.

  7. Using Scout Book Balance to Pay: If you plan to use the money saved in Scout Book, please let us know so we can make arrangements. DO NOT register your child through the membership link if you plan to use Scout Book Money.

  8. Renewal Process: All scouts will need to go through this renewal process when their membership comes up for renewal.

AOL Parents: Please do NOTHING. You have submitted a paper application to the Troop. They will register your child and enroll them in the Troop before the deadline. Your child is already paid for and registered.

Adult Leaders, please do not register yourself. The pack handles this.

BSA memberships are valid for one year, so you'll need to renew in this manner annually. If you haven't received an email yet, you will when your scout's membership is due to expire.

For step-by-step instructions on the renewal process, Click here!

As a scout's membership comes up for renewal, we plan to follow up with parents to give them nudges in the new process, however, it is your responsibility to make sure your scout's membership is renewed on time.

For any questions or further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

CAMP CARDS FUNDRAISER

CAMP CARDS FUNDRAISER ENDS MARCH 26th!

Pack 214 participates in the MCC Camp Card fundraiser.

Camp Cards are a great way for your scout to earn money to pay for trips, camps, and Recharter fees.  Pick up as many cards as you think you can sell. Each card is $10. Bring the proceeds to the Pack and your scout's Scoutbook account will get $5 for each card sold. The council gets the other $5.

This is a no risk fundraiser; just return any cards that you do not sell. You can also sign up to sell online. There is a feature where people can purchase cards to donate to first responders. You must create an account to sell online: HERE

Talk to your Committee Chair if you have questions and to pick up some cards.

CUB SCOUT CAMP

Mark your calendars!

We will start taking payments for day camp soon. Please sign our "Interest Form" at the Committee Chair desk.

WEBLOS ADVENTURE CAMP

Mark your calendars!

For rising Weblos and AOLs, there is a summer camp called "WAC" (Weblos Adventure Camp).  This is a 3 night camp at Belk where your scouts can camp with the pack on their own or with you if you want to be a parent volunteer with us.  If we have 16 or less scouts, we need 4 adults (or more) to be there the whole time.  The cost is $225 per scout and $125 for Adults.

Our pack is going to register for the 3rd session July 18 – 21 (Thursday – Sunday).

Registration opens March 1st. Please sign our "Interest Form" at the Committee Chair desk. Payment is not due until May.
