APRIL 4TH – CAMP CARDS DEADLINE

UNSOLD CAMP CARDS NEED TO BE RETURNED BY APRIL 4TH.

Camp Cards are a great way for your scout to earn money to pay for trips, camps, and Recharter fees.  Pick up as many cards as you think you can sell. Each card is $10. Bring the proceeds to the Pack and your scout's Scoutbook account will get $5 for each card sold. The council gets the other $5.

This is a no risk fundraiser; just return any cards that you do not sell. You can also sign up to sell online. There is a feature where people can purchase cards to donate to first responders. You must create an account to sell online: scoutingtracker.com.

Talk to your Committee Chair if you have questions and to pick up some cards.

SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES

Webelos Adventure Camp

Current Bear and Webelo 1 Parents –

If you haven't already expressed interest (i.e., put your name on the list) in having your scout attend WAC this summer (July 20-23, R-Su) please let us know ASAP (NLT than this coming Tuesday's meeting). Next week we will be asking interested scouts to commit to attending by providing registration information and payment in full due by the April 18th Pack Meeting.

Some details about WAC:
1. Cost is $225 (adult leader cost is $125); note we will need at least 2 adults on site at all times

2. WAC is an overnight camping opportunity for older cub scouts held at Belk Scout Camp (20 minutes East of Matthews) with 2 full days of activities and 3 nights of camping
2a. Check-in will be Thursday sometime between 2 and 5 pm
2b. Check-out will be Sunday by NLT 11 am

3. The scouts will be kept very busy and complete a number of advancement requirements

4. All meals are provided (snacks and slushies can be purchased)

5. Youth and adults will need to bring their own camping gear (i.e., tent, sleeping bag, etc.; note  the pack has some gear that can be checked out).  We will provide a full packing list to participants by the end of May.

Please DO NOT register your child or yourself on your own, it is best if we do it as a Pack due to Youth Protection requirements.

If you have questions please reach out to Mike Hillesheim — [email protected] or 720-570-6210.
