Cub Scout Awards Night

We miss our scouts and want them to know we are proud of them for all they have achieved since he last time we saw them last! We will have belt loops, awards, Pinewood Derby nameplates, and a few outstanding refund checks. We will be setting up outside of the Eagle's Nest next Tuesday night, June 30th from 6:30-7:30 for you to drive by and pick up those belt loops and awards.  You can arrive at anytime within the hour as this is not an official gathering due to outdoor meeting regulations and no access to the facility. You are welcome to walk up to where we are, if you are wearing a mask to receive your awards or simply put your flashers on in your vehicle and we will bring the awards to you. Please make sure all awards are entered into Scoutbook prior to this Thursday June 25th.

We will host our rank advancement ceremony at the first Pack meeting of the 2020/2021 Scout year. You have until July 31st to earn your current rank!

Scoutbook

Q: How can advancement be tracked remotely?

Pack 214 uses Scoutbook to record and track advancement.

To track advancement remotely, parents should:

  • Connect with their child’s member profile via an invitation that the unit leader has sent out if you were not connected from within Scoutbook
  • Once a connection is made, the parent should use the Scouting app, found in both the App Store and on Google Play, to stay connected with their unit.
  • The Scouting app provides parents the ability to report any advancement that was completed at home.

Learn more about how to start using Scoutbook and how to connect parents to their Scouts at Scoutbook.com.

Advancement — Cub Scouts

Q: May parents sign off on Webelos and Arrow of Light requirements?

Yes. Through July 31, 2020, parents and other adults in the Cub Scout’s family, may sign off on Webelos and Arrow of Light requirements.

Q: If my den is behind in advancement due to COVID-19, can my Cub Scout continue to work on advancement through the summer?

Yes. Cub Scouts can continue to work on their current den’s advancement through July 31, 2020.  This is to provide any additional time a Cub Scout needs to complete their badge of rank; if they earn their badge of rank prior to July 31, 2020, they may advance to the next rank.
