Bears and Webelos – Fishing Adventure this Week

For this week's den meeting on April 1st, our Webelos and Bears will enjoy a fishing adventure at Mr. Dale's house.

– **Location:** Mr. Dale's house (415 Chestnut Lane, Matthews, NC)
– **Date:** April 1, 2025
– **Time:** 6:30
-**Wear Class B uniforms (t shirts)

**What to Bring:**
– Please bring your own fishing poles, if you have
– Bring a water bottle
– The pack will provide pizza and bait
– Limited number of fishing poles will be available for use
– Pull carts / trollies for service project (see below)

As a thank-you to Mr. Dale for everything he does for our Pack and letting us fish on his property, we will also help him clean out his shed. Many hands should make light work of this service project – clearing out old camping supplies (ie tents, sleeping bags, etc.) Please bring any pull carts, trollies etc that can be used in this clean out.

Webelos Adventure Camp 2025 – July 24th through July 27th

WAC is for rising Webelos and AOL's and is their first opportunity to camp overnight with fellow scouts. Parents are welcome, but not required, to attend. We will check into camp on Thursday afternoon and pick up will be Sunday AM. While there, scouts will enjoy all that Belk has to offer – BB's, Archery, Fishing, Swimming, Canoeing, Wall Climbing and Rappeling, and may other activities. If interested, please reach out to Reese Sumrall for sign up.

Day Camp is a four day camp from 9-5 where scouts of all ages can enjoy Belk Scout Camp, without overnight camping. Parents are not required to join their scouts. Please reach out to Reese Sumrall for sign up.

WAC Costs – Adult ($125), Youth ($225)

Pack Volunteer Opportunities

We are still looking for help with one open position – Communication Coordinator. Please reach out if interested or for additional information.

Communication Coordinator

• Manage and distribute Pack communications via email, social media, and newsletters
• Ensure families receive timely updates on events, meetings, and important announcements (announcements, announcements….)
• Help maintain the Pack website via ad hoc updates
• Work closely with leaders to share important information

Commitment Level: 1-2 hours per week, Largely using online tools (mail chimp marketing tool, sign up genius, and email)

Annual Recharter – Deadline Approaching

We still have a handful of scouts that have not yet renewed. A separate email was sent to impacted families over the weekend. Please reach out if you are having difficulty renewing your scout. The deadline is this Monday, March 31st. If scouts are not renewed by the deadline they will have to register as a new scout (which is more expensive).
