Webelos Adventure Camp 2025 – July 24th through July 27th (Rising Webelos and AOL's)

Day Camp 2025 – July 14th – July 16th (All Ranks)

WAC is for rising Webelos and AOL's and is their first opportunity to camp overnight with fellow scouts. Parents are welcome, but not required, to attend. We will check into camp on Thursday afternoon and pick up will be Sunday AM. While there, scouts will enjoy all that Belk has to offer – BB's, Archery, Fishing, Swimming, Canoeing, Wall Climbing and Rappeling, and may other activities. If interested, please reach out to Reese Sumrall for sign up.

Day Camp is a four day camp from 9-5 where scouts of all ages can enjoy Belk Scout Camp, without overnight camping. Parents are not required to join their scouts. Please reach out to Reese Sumrall for sign up.

We are still looking for help with one open position – Communication Coordinator. Please reach out if interested or for additional information.

Communication Coordinator

• Manage and distribute Pack communications via email, social media, and newsletters
• Ensure families receive timely updates on events, meetings, and important announcements (announcements, announcements….)
• Help maintain the Pack website via ad hoc updates
• Work closely with leaders to share important information

Commitment Level: 1-2 hours per week, Largely using online tools (mail chimp marketing tool, sign up genius, and email)

We have a YE cookout at Squirrel Lake Park on 5/13 @ 6:30 PM. All scouts and family members are welcome for a fun time to celebrate the year of scouting. Please use the link below to sign up

May Pack Meeting – Rank Up

At our final Pack meeting of the Year on May 6th, scouts will receive their rank awards for all of their hard work during the year. The scouts will also have the opportunity to participate in a rank up ceremony, where they move from their old ranks (ie Lions) to their new ranks for the upcoming scout year (ie Tigers). As part of the ceremony, the Scouts will turn in their old accessories (ie neckerchiefs, slides, and hats) for the corresponding accessories of their new rank. The Pack will provide the new accessories for the scout's upcoming ranks and we ask that scouts come in full uniform ready to turn in the old accessories. Note: scouts are not required to return their old accessories to the extent they were purchased, but we encourage scouts to return items previously provided by the pack. All scouts and families are more than welcome to purchase new uniforms, accessories as they wish. We offer the "scout closet" where uniforms and accessories can be re-used as a service to members of our pack ("A Scout is Thrifty").

Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to celebrate our scouts' accomplishments and witness them take the next step in their scouting adventure. We look forward to seeing you all there! At the end of the ceremony we will celebrate with some sweet treats!

May Etowah Council Roundtable – BBQ

Attention all leaders! There is a BBQ on May 8th at 6:30 on the South Lawn of Sardis Presbyterian Church (6100 Sardis Road). We will celebrate the year of MCC scouting with burgers, hot dogs and fellowship. There will be awards for various volunteers and their impact on MCC Scouting, including two members of our own Pack (to be announced shortly). The Pack will cover the $10 admission on behalf of our leaders. By May 1st, please let Chris Hildreth or Heath Bixel know if you plan to attend and we will purchase your tickets.

Save the Date – YE Campout @ Riggsbee Conservatory

We will have a YE campout on 6/7. Location is confirmed at Riggsbee Conservatory (Kershaw SC). Sign up genius and schedule coming shortly.
