Sign Up — Super Trip 2025

Sign up deadline approaching! Our Super Trip to the Kaleideum in Winston-Salem is coming up on March 22, 2025. This exciting overnight adventure is $48 per scout and $20 per adult. You can use Scoutbook money to cover the cost! Payments Due by February 25, 2025.

While we're there, scouts will work on adventure achievements specific to their ranks, with time to explore the museum after hours. Here’s what each rank will focus on:

  • Lion/Tiger: Sky is the Limit
  • Wolf: Digging into the Past
  • Bear: Super Science
  • Webelos/AOL: Earth Rocks

*** Though our AOLs will have already "crossed over" to the troop by then, you're still warmly encouraged to join us for this final Cub Scout event! It’s a great chance to reconnect with friends and celebrate your Scouting journey together.

Camp Card Kick Off

We’re excited to announce the kick-off of our annual Camp Card program, an opportunity for our Cub Scouts to raise funds for their adventures while learning valuable skills like goal-setting and communication. Each Scout will have the chance to sell discount cards that offer deals at local businesses, with proceeds supporting their scouting activities, including camp fees. The cards sell for $10 with the proceeds split $5 for Mecklenburg County Council BSA and $5 for the individual scouts. All proceeds are credited to the Scoutbook account for use on camping trips, activities or other Pack events. We’ll be sharing detailed information, including sales tips and key dates during this week's meeting. You can check out as many camp cards as you like over the coming weeks and return anything that the Scouts didn't sell with no obligation.

Pinewood Derby Workshop – February 1, 2025

The Pinewood Derby race is coming up on Saturday, February 22. Each scout gets a derby car kit and additional kits can be purchased for family members for $5 each. If you have not yet grabbed your pinewood derby car kit, there will be an opportunity to pick up kits at the next several week's meetings.

We will have a workshop after Scouting for Food this Saturday, February 1st – immediately after the collection of donated food. Starting around 11 AM. Bring your car kit and volunteers (and tools) will be on hand to help with your design. Meet at the Eagle's Nest after the collection of food.

Interested in helping with Pinewood Derby?
We will also need volunteers on race day (the morning of 2/22) as well as helpers on Friday evening 2/21 to help set up the track. Both opportunities are an easy way to help out the pack and it's very much appreciated. Sign Up Genius link below. Note that the Outlaw race will occur on Friday night set up (adults only – no scouts please). Chad Lloyd is the Pinewood Derby Coordinator for the Pack ([email protected])

Scouting for Food Pickup – February 1, 2025

Mark your calendars! Scouting for food pick up this weekend!

Scouting for Food is our annual food-collection drive that helps us support those in need in our communities, while helping our Scouts practice, live out, and experience the "help other people at all times" ideals of the Scout Oath and Law.

This weekend, February 1, AFTER 9:00 am, you will return to your same neighborhood that your dropped off the door hangars to collect the food before driving back to the MUMC parking lot where the food will be unloaded and collected. If you can’t join this weekend to pick up donations from houses, please let Heath Bixel know so that we can coordinate someone to pick up from your route.

Webelos Adventure Camp 2025 – July 24th through July 27th

Current Bear and Webelos scouts can plan to join for an action-packed 3 days of scouting fun. We'll embark on activities like hiking, fishing, archery, and much more.
